From April 2021, SEG will be supported by conservation officer Toby Mills. Toby is an artist and researcher who has joined us on our team as part of a 6 month UK Government Kickstarter Scheme. He became involved in eel conservation during his undergraduate degree in Fine Art at The Glasgow School of Art, leading him to run an ‘Eels in the Classroom’ programme as part of his degree show in June 2019. This year, amongst other roles, he will be coordinating ‘Eels in the Classroom’ programmes across the UK. He is currently in-between degrees, and will be starting an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance this autumn – where he looks to continue his study of the European eel.
